August in Mt. Shasta!

This is what’s been happening so far for the month of August…

Interesting sighting on Mt. Shasta~

Grouse at 8,000 ft.

I was hiking Green Butte Ridge on Mt. Shasta and saw this grouse. It’s not unusual to see a grouse on the mountain. I’ve just never seen one at this elevation.

There are so many lakes in our area to swim and hang out!

It’s starting to look like nature’s fireworks!

This past weekend we did get snow on Mt. Shasta all the way down into town…

But it didn’t last long~High winds following blew all the snow away!

Lenticular cloud formations forming are a good indication that a storm is on the way.
